Cloud-first strategy is a catalyst for higher business value

Today, more than ever, companies need to operate and compete at an unprecedented speed and scale. And companies are seizing on cloud as the key enabler to do this, and the COVID pandemic has further accelerated this mandate.

As the pace of change quickens and competitive pressures mount, cloud computing provides an answer, allowing organizations to embrace change and drive value faster across all dimensions of their enterprise. Embracing a cloud-first strategy will help an organization accelerate change across the human, technology, and business dimensions of the enterprise, regardless of where it is on its cloud journey or what business it is in. A cloud-first approach provides organizations with the scalability, resiliency, and business continuity capabilities they require to optimize operations and realize greater business value.

Cloud computing has demonstrated its importance in ensuring resilient, long-term enterprise operations and future competitive advantage. If organizations are not heavily reliant on the cloud, they will be unable to unlock the capabilities that modern businesses require — greater flexibility, agility, and new opportunities for innovation. Enterprises that continue to postpone a large-scale cloud migration risk not only incurring an opportunity cost, but also jeopardizing their very survival.

We at John Keells IT is focused in helping our customers to architect and build a scalable and secure cloud fabric to accelerate our customer’s digital transformation. We assist our customer in finding new and better ways to harness the power of cloud computing. From migration to cloud management, we work with our customers to help them business realize its full promise and achieve measurable, extraordinary value.

Moreover, we were amongst the pioneers in the region to establish a Cloud First strategy in the early 2010 for the largest conglomerate in Sri Lanka, which we are also a part of. Later on, we implemented Azure Security/Identity Services for Identity and Security within the group in 2017; Microsoft Azure Data Platform for our Advanced Analytics/AI in 2018 and we are currently building an Industry specific SMART platforms with confluence of all of the above .
